Sammy Obeid
Sammy Obeid turned down a job at Google to do stand-up. That decision led to a world record 1,001 consecutive nights of performing comedy, a streak covered by both Time Magazine and The New York Times.
Lebanese-Palestinian American, born in Oakland, California, Sammy double-majored in Business and Mathematics at UC Berkeley before choosing the stage over Silicon Valley.
You may know him as the host of Netflix's 100 Humans, or from NBC's Last Comic Standing, America's Got Talent, or TBS's Conan.
