The Jeroen Leenders Experience is nooit hetzelfde. Je kan ‘m dus onmogelijk al gezien hebben. Hooguit heb je er al eens eentje meegemaakt. The Jeroen Leenders Experience is geen uitgeschreven show maar een gebeurtenis waarbij zelfs de performer nooit precies weet wat er gebeuren zal.

Wat ruwe ideeën en een grenzeloze geest. Meer dan dat heeft Jeroen niet bij zich. Geen voorbereide grappen maar dingen die hem blij maken, of boos of bang of verdrietig. Die hem beroeren of achtervolgen. Pas op het podium kom je er samen met hem achter of hierom gelachen kan worden, hoe erom gelachen kan worden en waarom ermee gelachen kan worden. Of dit dan nooit mislukt? Zeker wel! Te mogen falen is niet enkel een optie. Het is een voorwaarde om tot een authentieke ervaring te kunnen komen. Slaagt hij in zijn opzet dan is dit steeds een oprecht en magisch moment omdat het enkel samen met het publiek tot stand kon komen.

Wat Jeroen van jou nodig heeft is dat je jouw verwachtingen en ideeën uit jouw schedel laat waaien door je hoofd open te stellen. Laat je vervolgens door Jeroen uitnodigen in een geest zonder beperkingen. Een geest waar je elke steen mag omdraaien, waar je in elke kamer mag komen en waar je zelfs achter het versleten behang in de hal mag kijken. Soms is het onbehaaglijk, vaak is het spannend en heel vaak wordt er hard gelachen. Een ding is zeker; Je moet het een keertje meegemaakt hebben! The Jeroen Leenders Experience is dan ook precies wat het van zichzelf beweert: een ervaring.

Bij Comedy Club Haug zijn we altijd op zoek naar het talent van morgen en biedt plek voor comedians zich te ontwikkelen. De Open-Mic is de plek voor het ontdekken van nieuw comedy talent en waar comedians nieuw materiaal kunnen testen op het publiek. 

Als je een comedian bent of denkt dat te willen worden en je wilt graag op een van onze Open Mic events spelen, neem dan contact met ons op en - indien mogelijk - stuur een video naar newtalent@clubhaug.com. Op woensdag is er een Nederlands gesproken open-mic. Engels gesproken is ook geen probleem. We zijn altijd op zoek naar nieuw talent om mee te werken. Wellicht wordt jij een van onze regular comedians!

Don’t miss this fantastic night out with award-winning stand-up, podcaster and author, Kai Humphries (UK), who for the past few years has toured live in 55 countries with Daniel Sloss, opening in massive theatres and arenas all over the world. 
Co-star of the brilliantly funny 'Sloss and Humphries on the Road' podcast as well as a regular guest on the smash-hits ‘Have A Word’ and ‘Hot Water’s Green Room’, this is Kai’s 10th solo hour but his first extensive UK tour as he’s in so much demand everywhere else! He has already toured solo across Australia and Europe and even performed a smash-hit run off-Broadway in New York, and now the popular Geordie has finally found time to go gallivanting all around the UK.

Adam Bloom (UK) is undoubtedly one of Britain’s most exciting and original stand-up comedians. He has performed seven sell-out solo runs at The Edinburgh Festival, ranging from 1996 to 2007 and has also performed a twenty-nine date, sell-out tour of The UK. In 1999, Adam performed a sell-out solo run at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (which was in it’s 13th year), breaking box-office records for anyone’s first ever visit to the festival.

In 2004 Adam was part of Just For Laughs Comedy Tour, where he performed to over 42,000 people in 17 cities across Canada. He’s also performed at Just For Laughs festival in Montreal four times between 1998 & 2013, performing at two JFL TV Galas (2001 & 2005) and one JFL TV recording (2013).

In 2023, Adam released a book on the art of stand-up comedy called ‘Finding Your Comic Genius’ which soon became a best-seller within its category on Amazon in three countries. The success of the book soon led to Adam hosting book masterclasses all over the world.

André has toured all over the globe, including multiple countries around Europe, Dubai and Australia where he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and picked up the “Best International New Act” Award.
In 2023 André returned to the UK where he made history by being the first ever Portuguese comedian to perform a solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His debut show - ‘What If’ was critically acclaimed, having received a number of 5 star reviews and also made the list of the funniest jokes of the 2023 Fringe by The Telegraph.
André is also the creator and co-star of the popular phenomenon Comedy Therapy, a live format that brings together comedy and mental health. The live show became a podcast, quickly sky-rocketing to the number 3 podcast in Portugal.  André has, so far, supported Jim Gaffigan, Jim Jefferies, Alan Carr, Russell Peters and TJ Miller on tour around the World.

Sean McLoughlin is an acclaimed stand-up comedian and writer based in London, described as “The best comedian you haven’t heard of” by Time Out and “an impassioned and uniquely brilliant talent” by The List.

Hugely in-demand in the U.K. and internationally he has most recently been the tour support for Ricky Gervais in arenas across the globe, having previously opened for Bill Burr at the Royal Albert Hall and performed a gala show at the Sydney Opera House. A regular at comedy festivals and clubs the world over, he has also performed six acclaimed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Sean has made TV appearances on Stand-Up Central, Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, The Stand-Up Sketch Show and fronted a 5-part series for Vice, as well as filming a set for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and a small part in the Netflix sitcom ‘After Life.’ He has released two stand-up albums that can be bought at his site www.seanmcloughlincomedy.com

For years, Earl Okin has headlined under the byline ‘Musical Genius & Sex Symbol’ (also the name of his SONY CD).
 
He first learnt his stagecraft in folk clubs.
 When they were replaced by comedy clubs, Earl moved effortlessly from one to the other and has been a headline act on the unforgiving UK alternative comedy circuit for decades, highly respected by all his fellow performers, young and old.
 
He began, however, at the Comic Strip, alongside, Rik Mayall, French & Saunders, Nigel Planer et al.
 Among his admirers are such names as Billy Connolly (who likewise began his career in folk-clubs),
Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Izzard (at whose clubs Earl headlined when they were both starting out).
 
Among his American admirers are such established names as Emo Philips and Rick Overton. Earl has probably performed more ‘encores’ than just about anyone around and his blend of comedy and music (Tom Lehrer was one of his influences)
is in demand literally around the world. Earl has performed at such festivals as Juste Pour Rire in Montreal, the Adelaide Fringe in Australia and Humorologie in Belgium with equal success.
He regularly performs in Sweden, Germany, Austria and Holland and at such famous US clubs as The Comedy Store, Caroline’s, The Improv. and The Ice House.
 
For 18 years straight, Earl performed at the internationally famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe,consistently coming away in profit a major achievement, as any Edinburgh performer will agree!
 
Last but not least, Earl is in high demand for both corporate and private parties, having entertained not only Queen Elizabeth II but the king and queen of Sweden, too.

Kort daarna maakte ze haar opwachting bij Comedy Club Haug, waar ze zich razendsnel ontwikkelde tot een vlijmscherpe stand-up comedian. Haar bliksemsnelle interacties en scherpe humor veroverden al snel de harten van een breed publiek. Met optredens op iconische festivals zoals Lowlands en presentatieklussen voor gerenommeerde bedrijven is Céline uitgegroeid tot een veelzijdige entertainer die op bijna elk podium thuis is.

Chuckle-Up!

**Introductiecursus Stand-Up comedy**

De introductiecursus stand-up comedy bestaat uit twee onderdelen. Het schrijven van een grap en het spelen ervan.

Tijdens het schrijven onderzoeken we hoe je een goede grap ontwikkelt. We leggen termen uit zoals de Set-up, Punch en de bekende One liner. Tijdens het eerste deel schrijft iedereen een tekst die in het tweede deel geoefend en gespeeld gaat worden.

Het tweede deel bestaat uit het ten tonele brengen van je eigen materiaal. Hoe sta je op een podium? Hoe ga je met de microfoon om? Hoe vertel je je grappen zo dat het publiek erom moet lachen? Uiteindelijk mag je op het podium van Comedy Club Haug, versterkt en in de spotlights je materiaal laten zien. Zoals een echte comedian.

Deze allround ervaring van begin tot het eind geeft een klein beetje inzicht hoe het werkt om grappen te maken en te spelen zoals een echte standup comedian dat doet. Alles wordt begeleid door een comedian of regisseur gelieerd aan Club Haug.

**Victor Luis van Es**
Victor behaalde in 2016 de finale van het Cameretten Festival. De volkskrant zei daarover: ”In al zijn eenvoud het mooiste en meest gedurfde verhaal van de avond.” Nu staat hij in de theaters met zijn eerste avondvullende programma’s waarin hij met dezelfde open- en oprechtheid zijn verhalen verteld.

Eric van Sauers

**Patrick Laureij (1982)** 
Groeide op in Rotterdam-Zuid, IJselmonde. Hij besluit in 2006 mee te doen aan de Rotterdamse Talent Night. Met 4 minuten aan materiaal en wat geïmproviseerde grappen heeft hij eindelijk zijn “plekkie” gevonden: stand-up comedy.

Via verschillende kleine podia en vele optredens belandt hij op het Open Podium van Toomler waar hij de kneepjes van het vak leert. Zijn harde werken ziet hij in 2009 bekroond met een geslaagde Comedytrain auditie.

Met een onvervalst accent en de bijbehorende eerlijkheid heeft hij inmiddels meerdere malen op Lowlands gespeeld, stond hij in het voorprogramma van Theo Maassen en is hij de winnaar van de publieks- en juryprijs van Cameretten 2013.

In het jaar 2015 was Patrick te zien in de nieuwe 10-delige politieserie Noord/Zuid in de rol van Dennis (een van de grotere vaste rollen) op NPO 1 (KRO).

In 2016 ging Patrick de theaters in met zijn eerste avondvullende programma Dekking Hoog, een enorm succes. Hij sloot zijn officiële tournee af met drie avonden in een uitverkocht oude Luxor Theater in Rotterdam en een uitverkocht Paradiso. De opname van de show in Paradiso verscheen, in samenwerking met Top-Notch, op een dubbelelpee.
Momenteel tourt hij door het land langs uitverkochte zalen met zijn nieuwe voorstelling: Nederlands Hoop.

**Eric van Sauers**
Wanneer Eric van Sauers in 1993 afstudeert aan de Amsterdamse toneelschool, sluit hij zich meteen aan bij Comedytrain. Een slimme zet, want vier jaar later leidt de opgedane ervaring in het comedycircuit hem naar een glansrijke overwinning in het Camerettenfestival 1997. Dit wordt de basis voor zijn eerste solovoorstelling: Eric van Sauers = Eric van Sauers die in oktober 1998 in première gaat. Daarna volgen de theatershows Een fijn warm mens, De ware liefde en Liegt, waarvoor hij in 2005 de cabaretprijs Neerlands Hoop ontvangt. Van Sauers is een bevlogen en geëngageerd comedian die graag doet alsof hij de botte bijl hanteert – maar ondertussen ’s mens gewoontes en gebreken subtiel fileert.

Met zijn soloshows Smulpapen (2007) en Ridder (2010) heeft hij zich definitief aan de top van de Nederlandse comedy en cabaret gevestigd. Maar dat is lang niet alles. Zowel op het podium als op televisie is hij in een indrukwekkende hoeveelheid gedaantes te bewonderen. In 2003 en 2004 vertolkte hij de titelrol in Othello van het Noord-Nederlands Toneel. Op televisie speelde hij rollen in o.a. Tropenjaren, De Verschrikkelijke Jaren Tachtig, De Sylvia Millecam show, De Vlaamsche pot, Sam Sam, Huisje boompje beestje, en Medea. Ook achter de schermen is hij actief, als eindredacteur van Dit was het nieuws en De vrienden van Van Swieten. Ook vertolkte hij rollen in Nederlandse speelfilms zoals Lef, Cool! en De Pijnbank. Na een aantal jaren afwezigheid maakte Van Sauers in 2015 een uitstekende en zeer succesvolle comeback met het fascinerende Ontroert en in 2017 met De lief en leed tour.

Een drukbezet man dus, die gelukkig nog steeds af en toe nog op het podium van Toomler te vinden is voor een ouderwets potje flink van leer trekken. Hebben wij graag.

We are very happy to have Tony Woods back. He came as opening act for Louis CK in our club in 2019. And did a solo show here in 2020 and 2023. He returns with his own show.

**Tony Woods** is a one-of-a-kind comedic legend that is always in control of his audience.  His playful and cool demeanor, mixed with his sharp and sometimes mischievous routines, create a show entertaining at every level. A seasoned veteran in the comedy business, Tony is recognized not only by fans but by his peers as well as one of the best and most engaging comedians to get behind a microphone.  His endless list of credits include a Comedy Central 1/2 hour special, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Showtime at the Apollo, BET’s Comic View, and the USO tour. Tony was recently featured on the Funny or Die Oddball Comedy Tour. He has also featured in NY Times and This Week at The Comedy Cellar on Comedy Central.

“100% C*ntiental” has already entertained, educated and outraged over 2000 people at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, so it’s about time you get to partake in the action.
