Zach Mama

Born in France, he moved to the U.S. at 21 to study jazz in Philadelphia and play drums in black
churches. After living with a family of musicians in "North Philly", he moved to New York, then New
Orleans, before ending up in Hawaii during the pandemic, where he taught French in exchange for a
room at his students’ home.
Over the past two and a half years, Zach has traveled solo, filming a documentary about stand-up
comedy while couch-surfing across the U.S. The project features interviews with renowned
comedians like Tony Woods, Rory Scovel, Kyle Kinane, Sam Tallent, Pete Lee and many more.
