Pernille Haaland
Pernille Haaland is a Norwegian-UK comedian, actor and writer whose work spans stand-up, television and theatre. She trained as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (BA Hons) and has appeared on the National Theatre stage (War Horse), on BBC One (Not Going Out) and on Netflix (LOL).
An award-winning comedian, Pernille has been performing internationally since 2016, touring across Europe and regularly appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She won Best Stand-Up Comedian at the Reykjavík Fringe Festival 2024 and Best Joke at The Times Edinburgh Fringe Awards 2024, and was nominated for Best Comedian in Norway 2025. Her 2025 European tour has played to multiple sold-out dates, and her comedy has reached millions of views across social media platforms.
She is a familiar face on Norwegian television, appearing on LATTER LIVE (seasons 4 and 5, NRK), where she performs in Norwegian, as well as on the reality shows Cooking with Hellstrøm (TV2) and 99 to Beat (TV Norge). As an actor, she appears in the feature-length dark comedy film K-Town.
She has also worked as a sketch comedy writer on the hit NRK television show Humoretaten, while continuing to tour across Europe.
