Jonis Josef
Jonis Josef (born 1992 in Skien, Norway) is a celebrated Norwegian-Somali comedian, actor, and writer. Growing up in the neighborhood of Gulset, he developed a unique comedic voice that blends sharp wit, personal storytelling, and reflections on identity, culture, and societal issues.
He is the creator and lead actor of Kongen av Gulset, a semi-autobiographical TV series that draws on his upbringing and experiences as a Norwegian-Somali. On stage, Jonis has gained acclaim for solo shows like Woke and Kaktus, where he explores themes such as career struggles, burnout, and cultural identity with both humor and honesty.
