Bij Comedy Club Haug zijn we altijd op zoek naar het talent van morgen en biedt plek voor comedians zich te ontwikkelen. De Open-Mic is de plek voor het ontdekken van nieuw comedy talent en waar comedians nieuw materiaal kunnen testen op het publiek. 

Als je een comedian bent of denkt dat te willen worden en je wilt graag op een van onze Open Mic events spelen, neem dan contact met ons op en - indien mogelijk - stuur een video naar newtalent@clubhaug.com. Op donderdag  hebben we een Engels gesproken open-mic en op woensdag een Nederlands gesproken open-mic. We zijn altijd op zoek naar nieuw talent om mee te werken. Wellicht wordt jij een van onze regular comedians!

Currently performing to sell out crowds at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, Phil McIntyre Live Ltd are thrilled to announce that 2022’s Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Emmanuel Sonubi will be embarking on his biggest UK tour to date for 2024. Emmanuel presents a whistle stop tour through all of his jobs that have led him to become one of the hottest stand-up comics on the circuit in brand new show, Emmanuel Sonubi: Curriculum Vitae.  

Kicking off in Leeds on 10th April, Emmanuel will travel across the UK before concluding the tour in Salford on 2nd June. Tickets are on sale Friday 11th August from 10am and are available from https://www.emmanuelstandup.com.  

This brand-new show takes us through a hilarious and heartfelt story that explores all the jobs that Emmanuel has had before becoming a comedian and how those experiences helped shape his comedic voice. Recently seen on QI, Alan Davies As Yet Untitled, Apprentice 'You're Fired' and headlined Live at the Apollo. Emmanuel’s 2022 show Emancipated sold out and was a Fringe smash-hit, and this is already shaping up to be a show not to miss. 

This show takes the audience on a hilarious and sometimes poignant journey through a variety of jobs and industries many of which, he was wildly unqualified to do. From working in IT to the doors of London's nightlife, all this while building up an impressive list of Musical Theatre credit.

Emmanuel said today, “I am looking forward to getting back on the road with this new show. Last year was amazing with Emancipated, but this time I’ll be back with a bigger show and a few surprises along the way.  Thank you to everyone that came out to see me last year, I can’t wait to see you all again.”

London based Emmanuel Sonubi's career in Comedy started only a few years ago and quickly grew from strength to strength earning himself a reputation as "one to watch out for". A regular favourite on the live comedy circuit, he has become one of the most sought after acts working today. Emmanuel’s credits continue to grow as does his popularity with audiences around the world.

**Fuad Hassen** is allereerst de grappigste man van het universum. Het staat op internet dus het is waar. Hij werd geboren in Eritrea en vertrok op 5-jarige leeftijd naar Nederland om tijdens carnaval aan te komen in Den Bosch. 

In 2006 waagde hij zijn eerste stappen op het stand-up podium en met succes! Twee jaar later won Fuad met grote overmacht de jury- en publiekprijs van de Culture Comedy Award 2008. "Fuad heeft bravoure en is een goede verteller" aldus de jury. 

In 2013 behaalde hij de finale van Cameretten en heeft zo’n verpletterende indruk achter gelaten dat de jury veel vertrouwen heeft in zijn toekomst in het theater. 

Na Pareidolia, Held en Remmende Voorsprong is het al weer tijd voor de vierde voorstelling van Fuad Hassen. Dit keer gaat ie terug naar zijn roots. En daarmee bedoelen we niet Eritrea, maar terug naar zijn stand-up roots. Daar waar het allemaal begonnen is. Vogelvrij gaat over allerlei verschillende vormen van vrijheid. We willen het graag, maar kunnen we het wel aan? Zijn wij niet te gedomesticeerd? Fuad vraagt zich af of hij het zelf wel aan zou kunnen aan de hand van allerlei verhalen met de  typische hersenspinsels die we van hem gewend zijn. Meester in het uitspelen van komische situaties. Vol met imitaties, typetjes en publieksinteracties. Precies zoals hij dat wil. Op zijn manier en vogelvrij.

Fuad oa was te zien in het BNN/VARA programma 'Rare Jongens' en 'Spaanders'. Had 2019 zijn wekelijkse item bij 'Is er een dokter in de zaal' op RTL4.  Ook was hij in 2022 te zien bij De Avondshow met Arjen Lubach op NPO.

**Victor Luis van Es **(Amsterdam, 1989) is een echte verhalenverteller, open, eerlijk en natuurlijk heel erg grappig. Hij heeft de uitspraak 'van zijn hart geen moordkuil maken' tot een kunst verheven. Hij gaat geen onderwerp of persoonlijke ervaring uit de weg als hij denkt dat wij daar om kunnen lachen. Hij is hier meerdere malen voor beloond in zijn carrière.

Victor heeft inmiddels drie theatervoorstellingen gemaakt en tourt door het hele land. Daarom vonden wij het extra mooi dat hij zijn tweede show 'Plan B' bij ons in de club heeft gefilmd. Hij zei daarover: "De eerste grappen en ideeën voor deze show ontstonden in Club Haug, dus het voelt heel logisch om die hier ook af te sluiten en op te nemen in de woonkamer waar het is ontstaan."

Ari is Iceland’s biggest comedian. Born and raised in Reykjavík, he has done numerous TV specials, toured extensively across Scandinavia, sold out the National Theater for months on end, mixed comedy and classical music with the Icelandic National Symphony and performed with comedians such as Ari Shaffir, Bill Burr and Ed Byrne. Ari’s international career has seen him sold out entire runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, London Soho Theatre and Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Pardon my Icelandic is his debut solo show in English and explored subjects including fatherhood, working as a flight attendant and living in a country with a population the size of Coventry. Netflix is now streaming the show after being recorded live at the National Theatre of Iceland, making Ari the first Icelandic comedian to receive a Netflix Comedy Special.
