Shtickfest: Three Days of Stand-up Comedy in Rotterdam

*"Shtick" (or "schtick") is a Yiddish word and is used in the English Stand-Up scene to describe the type of humor that is characteristic of a comedian, someone whose job is to make people laugh.

After a wait of four long years, the official opening of Comedy Club Haug is finally here. And to celebrate this long-awaited moment, we've decided to launch the biggest annual stand-up comedy festival in Rotterdam right away. From November 16th to 18th, we proudly present: Shtick Fest, the brand-new annual stand-up comedy festival. During this festival weekend, you can expect line-up shows similar to what you're used to from your favorite club regulars at Club Haug. Additionally, we also have unique guest performances from national and international comedians in store for you, including Daniël Arends and Tom Rhodes from the US. You might remember Tom Rhodes from the legendary Kevin Masters Show starring Tom Rhodes.

Stand-up comedy will take place in every corner of Club Haug at any moment during the festival: in the grand Main room as well as in the cozy, intimate Corner. Additionally, we'll be hosting a live podcast stream in the café, featuring guests like Wouter Monden's Elektra Podcast and Martijn Koning's Knorrepodcast.

Shtick Fest will be a festival in a unique form where both the novice stand-up comedy enthusiast and the seasoned fanatic will experience the ultimate weekend of the year.
